Characterisation
Ironstone Reserve Old Wine Zinfandel grapes are grown on the Mokelumne River Bank in Lodi, which is one of the best areas of Zinfandel grapes. Vines are 60-80 years old. The harvest takes place by hand and the wine matures for 12 months in small French oak barrels. Deep ruby in colour. In a rich aroma, you can smell dark berries, chocolate and ripe fruit. The aftertaste is long and rich.

Details
Ironstone (Kautz Family Vineyards) is one of the largest family holdings in the wine sector in California. Their first wine plantations in the Lodi region were established in 1948. in 2009, John Kautz, who soon belonged to the top ten wine growers in his region. John and his wife Gail, with four children: Stephen, Kurt, Jack and Joan are all actively involved in the wine production and Ironstone in the household. Their wine master Steve Miller also contributes to the creation of wine tastes. As a result of the joint work, Ironstone wines around the world have been recognised for their high quality and affordability.
