Characterization

Vinforzo comes from the mountainous areas surrounding the Manduria village in the region of Puglia Salento. Grapes harvested on calcareous and clay surfaces shall be carefully dried for 4 weeks to concentrate the aroma and taste intensity. A dark, ruby-red, dry, full-bodied wine with an intense aroma of hints at dried plums, dark chocolate, and Mediterranean herbs. The result is a rich, full-bodied red wine, which creates a perfect balance between the rich berry taste and the silky elegance. The wine has been stored for 8-10 months in medium toasted oak barrels. Wine with very good development potential.

Consumption recommendation

Excellent match for roasted or grilled red meat.
