Characterization

The deep ruby color acquires a slightly more amber color with the maturation of the wine. When Young, the Doppio Passo aroma is rather fresh and fruity. As it matures, the aroma of Primitivo becomes more complex. Primitivo is best characterized by the aroma of blackcurrant, cherry, and ripe fruit. Wine is perfectly balanced with soft tannins and acidity, making this character enjoyable and easy to drink.

Consumption recommendation

Ripened cheeses with a stronger taste, grilled or roasted meat dishes, steak, game meat.
