Characterisation
This Barbera Appassimento-style wine has been recognised by several wine magazines as one of the best prices in Piedmont. Ricossa adds the traditional ‘appassimento’ technique, which is known as ‘appassimento’, from the region of Verona to Barbera by drying ripe grapes within three weeks of pressing and fermentation. 60% of the wine also passes through Oak camp. The wine is colourfully purple, tastefully ripe, berry-like and in perfect balance.
