Ammas is the highest expression of the quality of Barone Montalto. This wine is produced through a traditional winemaking technique called ‘amass’. Belice Valley in the region has grown Nero d’Avola, Nerello Mascalese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, the wine matures in oak barrels for 8-10 months. Ammas is a well balanced wine with a powerful and rich taste, offering red ripe berries and spices. Candied fruits, toaster notes, and powerful tannins provide sensual and tasteful wine.wine.
