Ammas is the highest expression of the quality of Barone Montalto. This wine is produced through a traditional winemaking technique called ‘amass’. Belice Valley in the region has grown Nero d’Avola, Nerello Mascalese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, the wine matures in oak barrels for 8-10 months. Ammas is a well-balanced wine with a powerful and rich taste, offering red ripe berries and spices. Candied fruits, toaster notes, and powerful tannins provide sensual and tasteful wine.
Perfect for steak and barbecue, lamb and spinach next to gnocchi.
